Overview

An episode of the coinpass Podcast with host Jeff Hancock, Co-Founder, and CEO of coinpass.com and guests Jure Zih of Sway Social and Ani Alexander of NFT Rebel talk about the next evolution of NFT. Jure Zih was a Co-Founder of a company that built one of the first (first-half) NFT Framework and has been in the crypto space for a couple of years. Ani Alexander is professionally working in the Blockchain space and crypto space, as well, for around six years and happens to be a fiction author of digital storytelling NFT formats at the same time. Both of the guests loved the Blockchain, crypto, and NFT spaces.

The following are the topics discussed during the Podcast episode:

  • NFT marketplace evolution, where have we come from, where are we now?
  • New NFT markets and use cases – Music rights, Tickets, ownership, dividends.
  • Are we at the start, middle or end of a bubble cycle?
  • Is there too much hype in the market, or can the trend be maintained?
  • Metaverses: temporary trend or the next digital revolution
  • Predictions: in five years, what will the crypto & NFT space look like, who will be involved, and what will fundamentally change?

Jure from Sway Social, about the “NFT Marketplace Evolution”...

“I've always been a big advocate since the very early days of the user experience. So, I kind of think, you know, the technical aspect is one, I think in terms of technicalities. I think we've come a long, long way, you know, all these different protocols, Layer 2 solutions, they've helped in the adoption games, so that, you know, more people can have access to it. I think a big, big, big I mean really big game traders coming with ETH 2, which is I think by the end of this month we're going to see an announcement or by the end of next month.”

Ani from NFT Rebels, about "Predictions: In Five Years"...

“I mean the whole space is so crazy that like five days equals five years, right? More or less, it's just changing so fast. So, it's very hard to predict. But the way I see this is like to me personally when I'm trying to explain NFTS and I'm usually going through a very kind of, you know, human side of things and trying to sort of detaching it from the tech to make it easier for people to understand. On a sort of, you know on human level personally for me, NFTS are, I call them, like tokenized emotions and experiences and I think that is what’s gonna come next, right? Like in the future NFTs will play a big role in experiences, in daily life experiences.”

For Jeff...

When Jure explained how he loves the NFT space, Jeff responded: “If we talk about, you know the NFT market space evolution, we talked, you (Jure) touched very briefly there on where the grassroots of the tech came from.” He also added an idea about Web 3: “You know, a lot of us are all baked into smartphones now and we're baked into either Android or Apple, and even we're seeing interoperability between a lot of those apps now on a Web 2, Web 2.5 kind of layer and the real bridge and the real, you know, I think a hard moment is when you know the concept of ownership in a digital tech format for anything blended into existing tech.”

Final Thoughts

NFTs permit artists to link with their clients as the purchases are documented on the Blockchain, making the recipient and creator clear. This clearness urges viral communities and fans, allowing authentic dialogues between the creators or developers and the buyers on other social platforms.
